As the evening sun cast its warm golden hue to the ground, the view was serene. Across the field, under the canopy was a girl sitting on the grass with her floral dress on with a bow on her head. She was twirling and giggling within herself when she heard a voice out of nowhere
"Advi! Advi! Arey kya ghode bech ke soyi hui hai! Uth jaaa!! college nhi jaana kya aaj??!" Trisha was shouting on top of her lungs.
(Why are you sleeping like a log? Wake up!! Don't you have to go to college today??)
Meanwhile Advika, who was just lost in her dreams flinched and looked around her surroundings, "Abhi toh garden mein thi, ye chudail kaha se aagayi? Kitna pyaara dress pehna tha yaawr meine aur tune uthadiya" she said with a pout on her face.
(I was sitting in a garden just now, how did a ghost show up in front of me? I was wearing such a pretty dress and you woke me up.)
Trisha was too stunned to speak, "this girl! she has to go to college and she's having the main character feel in her dreams" she thought to herself.
"Arey meri pyari si guchupuchu, abhi na tu humesha jaise late hojaayegi aur phirse merko taana maaregi SO PLEASE JA KE FRESH HO! I've already prepared breakfast for you.."
(Oh my pretty baby, you'll be late as always, and then scold me SO PLEASE JUST GO AND FRESHEN UP)
"Okay, okay, chilla kyun rhi hai jaa rahi hun" Advika gulped.
(Why are you shouting? I'm going.)
What would she do without her Trish??
Advika Rawal:
I freshened up, did my morning routine and went to the kitchen, there was my girl, my Trish, serving food for both of Us. The love of my life.
If I wasn't straight, I would've married her FSS, I mean who wouldn't? Look at how beautiful she is, her eyes, her hairs & even while serving food, she's looking breathtakingly beautiful!
The girl who turned my nightmares into beautiful dreams, I'll forever be grateful for her for this.
What did I do to deserve HER? I was admiring my lady and suddenly a voice cut me off while snapping me out of my thoughts
"Behen, mereko taadne se fursad mile toh aakar breakfast karlena, sirf 20 min hai tere college shuru hone mein" Trisha said teasingly with a smirk on her face.
(Girll, if you had enough of staring at me, sit and have your breakfast. There's only 20 min left for your college to start)
"Abey yaar tu naa muh band karte wakt hi sundar lagti hai buss" I laughed & went to kiss her cheeks. "HOW DARE YOU!"
(You only look beautiful when your mouth is shut)
Wondering what happened? She, She just pushed me away. I was just kissing her cheeks. Yeah!! She's a "I hate physical touches" person and so am I but I must be an exception right??
I'm the love of her life, how could she PUSH me??!!
"Ok miss ab kissi dediya ho toh khana bhi khalijiye." She said and returned my peck.
(Ok miss, If you've given me a kiss then start eating)
"The TRISHA SHARMA kissed mee?? I'm the luckiest" I added with a dramatic sigh and we both burst out laughing.
After having breakfast, I left for college & Trisha had her holidays going on, so for now, she's my housewife. It's the thing between us but she's more like my babysitter.
Writer's POV:
Trisha sat on their home watching some dramas while Advika had already left for her college. She was an English literature student and well, very introverted and socially anxious one but her mouth never really supported her. What do I mean by that? Just wait and you'll find your answers by yourself.
On the other side the same day, the Singh's were gathered at the dining table for their breakfast. The air was tight, it screamed seriousness which was quite a rare sight at the Singh's.
"Dekh betaa, kabhi na kabhi toh tujhe shaadi karni hi padegi naa toh humne ladki dekhi hai tere liye, agar tune khud chunn rakha hai toh bata de hum usse hi shaadi krwadenge teri" Vinay spoke with a voice filled with authority.
(Listen child, you'll have to marry one day so why don't you marry the girl we've chosen for you. If you've already selected a girl for yourself then we'll marry you off to her)
"Papa aapko pata hai, mereko abhi nahi karni shaadi ek baar jo hona tha hochuka hai, maa aap hi kaho naa insee" Ivaan added pouting.
(Dad, you already know, I don't want to marry now. You know, what has happened before. Mom, tell him naa)
"Bada hogaya hai tu and I agree with your papa, ab toh karle shaadi ush ladki se toh tu attached bhi nhi tha, buss humne baat ki thi aur uska boyfriend hai woh pata chal gaya, Dramebaaz" Bindu added.
(You're all grown up now)
(You were not attached to that girl, we had just talked about her to you and it turned out she had a boyfriend)
"Aur haan kya chidiya ke jaise chonch dikha rha hai ye"
(And why are you pouting, it looks like a bird's beak)
"Mumma yaar aap bhi?? Waise bhi aap toh apni pati dev ke hi side mein hoti hai humesha" Ivaan said while serving himself a paratha.
(Mom, you too? Anyway, you always favour dad over us)
"Bhai, hume bhi toh bhabhi chaiye ki nahi" both Reevaan and Ishaan chirped in unison.
( We also want a sister in law, don't we?)
"Ye sab kam the jo tum log bhi aagaye? Mujhe late ho jaayega jaldi nashta shuru karo sab" Ivaan said, frustration evident in his voice.
(Were they less that you're also intervening? I'll be late, let's have our breakfast fast)
"Bindu, tum bhi aajao jaldi", Vinay said while adding daal to another bowl placing it beside him
(Bindu, come fast)
"Arey, you've already served for me, thank you" Bindu spoke eventhough she knew her husband always did this for her.
"Aaye haaye, humare love birds" all three of their children spoke in unison.
"Ab pyaar vyaar hogaya hai toh shuru karein khana??" Ivaan winked at his parents smirking.
(If you're done with showing love, should we eat now?)
"Hatt, battameez hogaya hai, bete meri bahu aayegi tab dekhungi mein bhi" Bindu said and all of them started eating together.
(He's become shameless, I'll look at you when my daughter in law will be in our home)
There was something about the Singh family, all of them could die for each other. They were always on the dinner table together for breakfast and dinner. It was a silent way of acknowledging each other's presence.
A way of showing love in the dining table where the whole family talks animatedly about their day and it showed the unity of the family.
It wasn't just daily dinner, but the way of telling each other that they're always together no matter what. Even if the world was against them, they would be against the world for each other.
"Chalo maa papa, shaam ko milte hai, aaj naye semester ka 1st day hai"
(Okay mom, dad. Let's meet in the evening, today is the 1st day of the new semester)
"Bye beta khyaal rakhna apna" Ivaan's parents bid him a bye
(Bye child, take care of yourself)
"Bye bhaii, aate wakt mere liye ice-cream lete aana" Ishaan demanded for ice-cream.
(Bye brother, bring me ice-cream when you come back)
"Aur mere liye butterscotch pastry" Reevaan practically leaped in front of Ivaan.
(And butterscotch pastry for me)
"Itne bade hogaye ho phir bhi ye demands, roz ka hai tum logo ka"
(You guys are grown ups and these demands, it's an everyday thing for you)
"Bhai ke liye itnaa bhi nahi?" Both of them were joining their hands looking up with pleading puppy eyes.
(Can't you even do this for your brothers?)
"Thik hai laraha hun mere bacho, mumma papa se zyada toh tum mere bache ho" Ivaan said.
(Okay, I'll bring them. You're more of my children than mom dad)
"Mumma papa jaisa koi nahi okay!" Both the brothers added.
(No one compares to mom, dad okay)
"Thik hai mumma, papa ke chamcho, ab mein jaarahun college, professor hi late hogaya toh kya halat hoga college ka?" Ivaan said.
(Okay mom dad's pets, now I'm going to college, I can't be late)
"Bye bhaii lekin ice-cream aur pastry mat bhoolnaa" his brothers looked at him with puppy eyes.
(Don't forget our ice-cream and pastry okay?)
With that, Ivaan left for college and that playful demeanor shifted into serious, emotionless ones. He was strolling in the college garden when a girl blocked hi path.
"Wait! I've seen her somewhere" he thought to himself.
